The outline for this project was to produce 3 posters for a season of plays by Arthur Miller in a local theatre, with consideration towards grids and hierarchy of poster information.
After researching several of Miller’s plays I chose the following three; Death of a Salesman, After the Fall, and The Crucible. Each of these plays has very powerful imagery connected to them making them ideal for advertising the season of plays. I focused my design around the duality of Miller’s plays and how the protagonist’s world is often shattered. Irregular shards provide a broken window into the sourced images and portray how Miller’s plays often hide other agendas.
The same layout across all 3 posters creates continuity and with the altered colours provides distinction between the plays from afar.
